How I Turn One Keyword Map Into Content, Product Pages, and Ads
First Things First… What’s Keyword Mapping?
Keyword mapping is basically a treasure map for your SEO.
Instead of just writing random blog posts or naming your products without a plan, you take a list of keywords and assign each one to a specific page or campaign.
Think of it like:
- 🗺️ Each keyword = a location on the map
- 📍 Each page = where you “plant your flag”
- 💰 Each campaign = the trip to get people there
Step 1: Build Your Keyword Map
Here’s my easy process:
- Find your keywords – I use Ubersuggest, AnswerThePublic, and Google’s autocomplete.
- Group them by intent –
- Buy now (product pages)
- Learn more (blogs, guides)
- Compare options (list posts, reviews)
- Put them in a spreadsheet with columns for:
- Keyword
- Search volume
- Difficulty
- Page type (product, blog, category, campaign)
Example:
| Keyword | Volume | Difficulty | Page Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| best eco-friendly yoga mat | 2,400 | Low | Blog post |
| eco-friendly yoga mat for women | 1,000 | Medium | Product page |
| eco yoga mat sale | 500 | Low | Campaign landing page |
Step 2: Turn Keywords Into Content
For each “learn more” keyword, I write a blog post.
Example:
- Keyword: best eco-friendly yoga mat
- Blog Title: “5 Best Eco-Friendly Yoga Mats That Don’t Cost a Fortune”
- Inside the blog, I link to my product page for “eco-friendly yoga mat for women.”
💡 Pro Tip: Always link your content back to your product pages. Blogs without links are like restaurants without doors.
Step 3: Turn Keywords Into Product Pages
For each “buy now” keyword, I make a dedicated product page.
Example:
- Keyword: eco-friendly yoga mat for women
- Product Title: Eco-Friendly Yoga Mat – Designed for Women, Under $50
- Product Description: Use the keyword naturally while describing benefits.
Step 4: Turn Keywords Into Campaigns
For each “compare” or “buy now” keyword, I make a paid ad campaign or email promotion.
Example:
- Keyword: eco yoga mat sale
- Campaign:
- Google Ad with “Shop Eco Yoga Mat Sale – Up to 40% Off”
- Landing page with that exact keyword in the headline
Why This Works So Well
- ✅ Keeps content, product pages, and ads working together
- ✅ Avoids keyword cannibalization (pages fighting each other for the same keyword)
- ✅ Makes sure you cover every stage of the buyer journey
